Social Events
Social Events between meetings can range from sporting events, live theatre, travel, visits to places of interest, to any other activity that the Social Committee wishes to organize. These are usually one time events, one per month generally, but you can participate in as many events as you wish!
Festive Holiday Luncheon Buffet at Wooden Sticks Golf Club
On December 10th, 120 members and friends join us for Port Perry Probus's Holiday Luncheon at Wooden Sticks Golf Club. Despite the snowfall, we had an excellent turnout. The buffet was delicious and the luncheon was enjoyed by all. We were proud to donate a carload of food and $1,000 to Operation Scugog and a cheque to the Oak Ridges Hospice. Thanks go to Phil Wooding for the donation of his painting which raised money for the Hospice.
The Sound of Music
On November 25th, 34 of our members and guests enjoyed the opening performance of Sound of Music at the Princess of Wales Thestre and dinner at the Hot House Cafe.

NEW – Sunday February 8, 2026 – Matinee (2 pm) performance of The Sweet Delilah Swim Club at the Port Perry Town Hall, 302 Queen Street, Port Perry. Tickets are $27 (or $25 if we purchase a group of 6+). Five Southern women, whose friendships began many years ago on their college swim team, set aside a long weekend every August to recharge those relationships. Free from husbands, kids, and jobs, they meet at the same beach cottage, the “Sweet Delilah” on North Carolina’s Outer Banks to catch up, laugh, and meddle in each other’s lives. This play focuses on four of those weekends and spans a period of thirty-three years. To register, please email social.portperryprobus@gmail.com.

NEW – Wed., April 8, 2026 – Tour of Purple Woods Sugar Bush and optional lunch at Sweet Maple Restaurant – join us for a one-hour tour at 1:15 of the Purple Woods Sugar Bush, 38 Coates St. E., Oshawa. There is a travelled path down the hill to the sugar shack. A golf-cart type vehicle is available to bring those with mobility issues up the hill. Cost of the tour is $6.00 payable to Port Perry Probus. Pancake lunch or lunch of your choice at your own expense at Sweet Maple Restaurant, 20 Water St., Port Perry at 11:30. The tour is limited to 30 and the restaurant has provided a reservation for 16 but may accommodate more.
